As far as I can tell all we need to do is..

• inform the police (in both Bradford and Leeds)
  

• inform the city council (in both Bradford and Leeds)
  

Maybe we should advertise it already? Or shall we wait until we have done the above first?

It's a good question which i have been chewing over.

Hi guys... so whats the deal with establishing co-operation with the Police/MET/Council?

Any tips gleaned from the other groups Ants?

Ian Barret from Peterborough organised a similar demo a few months ago and gave Andy and I a few pointers.

I'll basically call Ian and do exactly what he did...

...only I do it earlier (before the demo) that he did. They had a few communication problems with the ol'bill

What we can cover here and now is exactly what the proposed format of the day will be...

Then we can take that as a guide for our approach to the council / police

Okay, well I guess we can use the WYTC banners (not too big?) hopefully there will be more than 3 or 4 of us.  We need to pick a point to start at, a journey to travel and a place to end.

I aren't that familiar with leeds other than the city center, Andy... what do you reckon?

Saturday 8th BRADFORD

• 10.00am Meet up at a railway station
  

• (the reason being that people will see us on the move with our banners prior to the demo)
  

• 11.00am Demo begins at ... ? outside Town Hall in the square?
  

• 12.00am Demo any ideas??
  

• 13.00am Demo
  

• 14.00am Demo end of demo maybe ???
  

• 14.30am Travel home by public transport with banners to maximise exposure...

Once we confirm a start time and location for each day we can promote it on the forums / website / mailing lists.

Start both demos at town hall squares is ideal as it is spacious and people can find us easy enough.  For the demo, I reckon we will be good as in Manchester for the STW demo, plenty of DVD's to give to people.

Whats the legal issues (re: littering) giving out leaflets in Leeds?

Unfortunately I don't currently have access to the national mailing list so I can't do what I used to do to promote stuff.

Ok leave the route to me. That's sorted then.

I think we should end up at the uni after walking up woodhouse lane. We should have some refreshments when we finish and a chance for everyone who attended to have a chat.

If its an organised demo with agreement from the police and council then as appears to have been the case in Manchester people = litter therefore no problem.

No flyering / dvds in Leeds unless you have a permit which cost £75 per distributor.

What are the bullhorning regulations?
