Re tonights meeting. Suddenly a whole new bunch of people show up at the monthly meeting, a roomful of people each with something to say, and with a perspective of the wider truth issues, including a minister out of the peace activists, and someone from as far away as Sunderland,and the guy from Islam Radio, and it suddenly seems like you're getting somewhere again. OK no organisational outcomes from the meeting, but how great to see all those new faces. Please come again you guys if you read this
I think we ought to hold some kind of social event, maybe with a wider truth themed film (I'll offer Secret Space 2), even if it's at the Just Church,- they could provide us with refreshment from the cafe after all- and invite personally all our tonight and previous one or two times supporters, most of whom I can track down  

BTW please see Use's festival post below. We cant just go from big speaker event to big speaker event. If we want to out the "truth" whatever that is, we have to have a relentless presence in the community, tying in why the events of six years ago are still monumentally important. We need to force our presence into the everyday consciousness by relentless commitment and presence. This we are not achieving at the present time

Yes, It was pleasantly shoking to see so many new people I hope they come again, to meetings, events and keep in touch generaly.

We should definitely have a social event asap in the WYarea. Anywhere where we can provide us with something to eat, I would personaly forgo the film as with people wanting to chat so much I think there would be entertainment enough and go and eat at a nice laid back resteraunt in the style of Barakas in Leeds.



Re festivals:  I've trawled the calander and there were a few options. I narrowed it down to the Otley folk festival and one in Whitby in Autum. The only problem with the Folk festival is that it's in September which will be a busy month so its bound to clash with something.  It would be good if there was some more input on this, anyone can go to the www.efestivals.co.uk site and do a quick search and will see something I didn't, no doubt.

I agree with paul! we need to keep the momentum going and have soms sort of social event where we can play some dvds and have discussions.

Its great to see many new faces, whether we agree or disagree in some aspects, there is a common agreement that something is very fishy with certain events.

I think we need to a point in the right direction, organisation etc...

Yep The Barakas restaurant is a genuinely nice environment. I'd second that amendment. Perhaps we could make an arrangement with the owners to do our thing as background whilst not excluding regular users

Hi all, its the guy from Sunderland. ( well, Darlington actually. ) I really enjoyed the meeting, although it would be difficult for me to attend on a regular basis because of the distance. The range of understanding across a wide spectrum of topics was refreshing to hear. I would be more than happy to attend some events; the Whitby one sounds good to me.( not as far.)

I was impressed by the deapth of understanding regarding the direction in which society is heading and the general lack of awareness within the general public. I agree that a more proactive and consistant effort needs to be made in bringing the message to the wider public.

I just spotted you here. Glad to see you there and its good to see new faces all the time.

We will have some events up and running soon. Its just one of those things - you will have a quiet patch sometimes and sometimes its hectic. But you will always find that if you browse the national websites, that there is always something going on.
