The Truth tent at Eastern Haze was a great vehicle to engage people. While there, Me 'n Ants were discussing the possibility of getting a tent for the weekend at a local festival, like the East Anglia group did at Eastern Haze. So I have had a browse for what is on and found this site www.efestivals.co.uk  

There are a few events around as its summer but I guess. The two in particular that stood out were 'InFest' @ Bradford Uni and the Otley Folk Festival which is Late September.

I just saw the date. I think it's feasable but we will need to get the ball rolling quick. But we are perfect for their opening statement (just don't mention Co2) .

It would be good if we could meet up this weekend to discuss this. I'm free most of the weekend.

Well we got off to a good start as all the truthers there were Co2 skeptics and very awake to the agenda.

I only remember one hippy woman going on about buying land where she will be safe from climate change but nobody bothered to argue with her. Wasn't much point. As there isn't much point debating smart arses who want to argue for their ego sake.

We had the odd individual who was in cronic denial but on the whole %90 were receptive. Of that 90% about 50% already knew, which was encouraging.

So what do the rest of us think about this idea?

We will need as many volunteers asd possible. It would be a good opportunity to meet some of the other forum members who can make it.

You need to be in the city of Leeds or Bradford.
Those with money and influence need to hear about these issues. In my experience, i am I afraid I think those in the villages are either to far gone to care, or all quite peaceful in their little slumber of the good life.
The city is the prison, yet the place of dynamic change.

The things that have been done in Skipton are a marvel! Why not start small and build up? Anywhere that will have us we should go.

Unity Day is a must though Pilgrim, good suggestion. They only allow local groups to Hyde Park to have a presence though - I reckon TruthLeeds would be ideal to run a stall.
