He called it the '9/11 7/7 & The Not So Hidden Agenda' last time I believe. Which is not as bad name really I was thinking. The posters of his aren't good though, way OTT. I far prefer Ants' more understated and serious looking designs, and good to have consistency so that we become more recognisable.

Yeah nice one Usey. Thing is I considered which of Ants' posters to link up when I linked it, thinking the old Leeds posters would be best as the address is on there. Logic works in mysterious ways. Are you going to leave the little thing about who we are, and the quote? I think you should.

It says on the posters doors open at 7.30. Is this right, or should we open a little earlier, so people can come in and talk and have a beer before we start - have we come up with an itinery for this yet. I believe we must, we may not get time to do this effectively at the forthcoming meeting.

So, is there going to be an Ian Crane talk in West Yorkshire somewhere, when?

I agree to leaving more events until the end of April at the earliest.

I think that the two weeks around the AGM (12th May) would be a good opportunity to get lots of events in. i.e. more Ian Crane, Annie Machon, David Shayler, Tony Gosling (bilderberg), film shows of various subjects, an Egokillers truth gig?.

Since these people will becoming up anyway it makes sense to have them do more than just sit in the AGM for a few hours then drink beer.!

We could also possibly encourage other campaigns and organisations to hold events/talks during that period and promote it all under a generic "Leeds Truth Festival" banner...

What do you think?

Well, from what I learnt last night is that we need a good month to advertise any event. I was not too happy with the turn out lastnight with Ian Cranes event in Leeds.

A bit embarrassing for the group I suppose
I'd agree we need far more notice
We'll have to see what comes of use's noisy personal recruitment drive to see if there is a more positive side to it
And of course, those who did attend were quite relaxed about asking questions within the smaller audience. That guy felt safe enough to reveal himself as the one who did all the shouting at the first Shayler show.
And Ian's adding in new interesting tidbits all the time, though the old stuff I could recite by rote

Excellent idea, Ants. A pretty big proposal and really needs setting up in the very near future, and a good deal of commitment, not only to get places booked, but a lot of hassling, contact making and PR work
If we were to go for this we would need to agree it's going to happen soon. If Andy's Cardigan Centre meeting brings a result with even a few committed Leeds-based people, that would be a tremendous help.
If there's some agreement, the subject also deserves its own thread, I think
