Eubank bailed after anti-war demo ![]() BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/6387231.stm Ex-world champion boxer Chris Eubank has been bailed after his arrest for an alleged breach of the peace while protesting in his truck in Whitehall. He had been driving his truck bearing a banner stating: "Blair, don't send our young prince to your catastrophic illegal war to make it look plausible." Mr Eubank, 40, of Upper Drive, Hove, East Sussex, was taken to Charing Cross Police Station for questioning. He was bailed to return to a London police station on 29 March. Mr Eubank is a familiar figure in his home town of Hove, and can often be seen driving around in a large black truck with his name emblazoned on the side. He left Charing Cross police station on Thursday night. Mr Eubank was one of the world's top boxers in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and is renowned for always being immaculately dressed. | |||

Good protest, strange angle though. And great to have another big name on the cause. Apparently though, Harry threw a right little prima-donna hissy fit when he heard he may not be going to Iraq - threatening to revoke the Royal Commission to fight in war. Apparently, although this could all just be pro-war propaganda. But, I'm pretty sure Blair had little or no hand in Harry's own deployment. But what's the message saying? The war is most definately plausible, it's all going on. Unless he means it in the sense of credible, or reasonable. And he's not my 'young prince' - it's a small point to make, but I'd hate to be arrested for writing bollocks! At least write an understandable message, one that everyone will be able to understand, and difficult for pedantic bastards like me to pick holes in. Did anyone see the No to Trident message projected against Parliament this week? Now that's a good protest message! |
