Because of the nature of the subject matter, boards like this can get a bit doomy and gloomy, other than reporting our own successes of course . Knowing the widely differing areas of interest and expertise of us all, I think it might be nice to share some information outside the 'war on terror' theme or provide possible ways out of the constructs and mindsets.
Also keeping it members only may entice guests to join up.

Good Idea

So 9/11 and 7/7 hasn't entirely taken over our lives? That's a relief, my Mum should be glad of that too. So, does... urm anyone, er, like buscuits? Table-tennis that's fun too. Uselesseater and I were discussing a Truth campaign footy team - The Question 9/11 xi, anyone?    - not sure about these Walmart-esque smiley faces though.

This certainly has taken over Ed. Trivial pursuits (not the damned game) and other things ought to be mixed in to keeo some kind of balance. Cant say I could join you in the footy thing, though i might be interested in that three-cornered game that was popular awhile ago, which involved strategem and alliance rather than the physical ability to kick the fucking ball in the right direction

well so far things have been a more positive start for our little group.

There are things that can change and changeing these can can only make us stronger.

But kicking the ball in the right direction has so many positive implications, it's a metaphor we could use to great effect - you know; putting the boot in, forcing an own goal, spheres of truth... things like that. However, my understanding of the game is usually on a tri-cornered basis as I hate to be seen as a right wing-er.

'Fucking balls' however - now that's something altogether separate, and there are plenty of porn forums already exploring these concepts thoroughly.

Scrabble, now I'm always up for that (4 corners again though I'm afraid), might help us all with some simple spellings too - how's that for underhanded stratagem?

Hackysack?

Did somebody mention hackysack? Oh, the things I could tell you about the sport of kings, if you want a game, I think I can safely claim to be at the pinnacle of amateur standard. Are you in London London Mick? Maybe we could meet for a game at Leicester Forest East service station for a kick (screw the environmental impact, some things, like hacky are just too important).

Hackysack is the sport all should play - all-inclusive, energetic, non-competitive. It has it all. You get a sand, or bead filled cloth sack and kick it on your own or amongst the group. Simple and fun - the only rules are that it shouldn't touch the floor, and that you're not allowed to apologise if you mess it up - because, as most other sports players seem to forget, it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER!!! No one may win, it's just you can have good games that last for ages or bad games where you find something better to do after a short while. Everybody goes home happy.
