This morning,6/04, at 06.25, one of those rare occasions I have to get up early for work, I did something I rarely do at that unearthly hour, and opened this forum for some reason, and what did I find?
10-TEN -unregistered guests browsing the forum. I thought WHHHAAATTT!!! Naturally refeshed and found they had all gone, within the space of 30 seconds they all shut off
What does this mean?
Does Menwith Hill or MI5 have little study groups examining internet material at dawn? Or do all the search engine bots operate at this time?

In fact, and I don't know if this registers for normal users or mods or just for Admins, which means at least Riaz can confirm, but if you go to 'Statistics' at the bottom of the Forum Index page, you can see that at the Time I give there is the record for the most users on line at one time, which says 13, at 6.25.06 on 06/04

Now that is weird! I can see the stats.
I have seen at the most 4, and thats during the day. That is mighty suspicious dh. I think we will have to put this to the test one morning again.

I only saw 10, which with me included was 11,the stats say 13 which means 2 or 3 clicked out on or before my arrival

Can you get the IP addresses for these guests? You might find the servernames interesting too.

I know how to put the php code in if it isn't already set up.

While they're in here and posting I can get the IP. When they are gone I've no idea how to trace them. Suggestions?

The problem being is that unregistered people dont/cant post here. Otherwise, you can click on their IP address and it will take you some data in http://www.ripe.net/

Could it just be someone from America looking in, or Australia. Perhaps someone mentioned something that was linked here and other forum members had a quick look.

dh: yes, i'll write some code that will log all relevant user/visiting information. Its a bit of php code which sits in the header and records details to a text file (csv file). You can then just open the file in Excel or whatever. I'll get onto that soon.
