That's some pretty obscene wealth.

The pirates mutinied and made Long John Silver walk the plank, the hungry shark looked up as it`s dinner drew closer to the end of the plank.

“Wait” shouted Long John Silver, “You have forgotten the Golden Rule”

“What is the Golden Rule ?” asked the chief mutineer.

Revelation 18:15 - 17.  
15.  The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16.  And saying, Alas, alas that great city, (ROME – Headquareters of the Great Whore) that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17.  For in one hour SO GREAT RICHES is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off.

As William Marrion Branham (God`s vindicated Prophet) stated:

Remember this is the false vine. Let it name the Name of the Lord, it does so only in a lie. Its headship is not of the Lord but of satan.

It finally ends up completely identified with the beast. The whore riding on the scarlet beast distinctly shows her power is the god of force (Satan) and not our God, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In verse 17, it emphatically shows that she will gain absolute control of the commerce of the earth, FOR NO MAN CAN BUY OR SELL APART FROM HER.

This is borne out in Revelation 18:9 - 17 which shows her involvement with kings, princes, merchants, all of whom have to do with Rome and commerce.
