Just posting to say I just joined this forum and hello.

I'm not a committed truther - rather I'd decribe myself as a deeply suspicious agnostic with a deep concern of where this country is headed. Since 'discovering' this stuff I'm intersted in finding out more.

So hello!

I was at the talk in Mancester a couple of weeks ago and put my e-mail on the contact list. I was subsequently contacted by Paul.

Prior to that, I'd picked up a copy of loose change at a London STW demo, and got handed another copy at the Liverpool Condoleeza Rice protest. That's how I found out there was any kind of 'movement'.

The Manchester meeting didn't sway me either way; I was already familiar with the film stuff and I'm not a huge fan of David Shayler's particular take on some issues (that's just me - I'm not dissing the guy). I was a bit surprised how many people were there. It's generally very difficult to get ANYONE to anything with 'alternative' political overtones.

Hi Wobbler

Thanks for explaining how you got to hear about us.  It's useful for us to know what techniques are helpful in reaching out to others.  Don't feel you have to adopt any particular position in this movement.  Do your own research and make up your own mind what you think.  Be yourself.  What unites us is a belief or a suspicion that we have not been told the truth about 9/11 and that threfore a truly independent investigation into the facts is needed.

I was also at the meeting in the Quaker Meeting House in Manchester.  An important thing to remember is that Dave Shayler only speaks for himself as we all do.  He does not speak on behalf of the movement.  Anyone may speak in support of our campaign; that does not mean that we endorse all their ideas.

Dave, however, has a loud voice, can think on his feet quickly when tricky questions are asked and, because he has a public profile, tends to act as a draw to the public at meetings.
